Were running DH Rnd 1 of the Sunshine Series. If you have a 4WD ( Ute / Troopy) This may be your parent who would only be standing around during the day. Drivers will be 'reimbursed for their expenses' and will also be provided with free bbq lunch.

pls PM me your details or send an email to ashgrovecycles@bigpond.com

The more drivers we get, the better your shuttles will be.

judging by the shuttle road at that track, if you want to have any chance of getting right to the top, then yes it has to be 4x4

Shouldn't You be offering a little more than a free bbq lunch and "paid expenses"?

I mean; you arent running the race for FREE so why do you expect drivers to want to drive all day for FREE? Wearing out there engines and brake pads all day in the process!? not to mention the mess that gets left in your car after a day of runs!

How bout investing some of the cash all the racers are giving you for entry in transport instead of putting it on us like its our responsibility to bring the shuttles up to standard!!? YOU are running the race and we are paying YOU to provide the transport remember!!

Farkin all too typical I say!

dude. chill the fuck out. i heard gav say yesterday that usually drivers are paid $140 for the day, and then given a free lunch. also, dont spout this "all too typical" BS as if you're being done ove, there would be plenty of dads around who would have no problem with spending a day driving without monetary compensation while their kids ride and race, so shut up

ok so why isnt the $140 bit in the first post then? And what about the whole "The more drivers we get, the better your shuttles will be."

Shuttles should be good cos we are paying for them to be good not cos some dad wants to do it for nothin! I am all for people lending a hand etc but the way I read the first post was like it was up to us to make the shuttles good! OK!

Thats my point of view so how bout you shut up and let me have my say!

why is everything about ashgrove always a heated discussion. just if you have a 4wd and want some cash, free bbq and heaps of praise from the riders, like siz said, help out your local scene and put in to the community, because the more everyone puts in the better the race's will be and the more media etc and stuff we'll get...

Thanks Ryan

I was simply trying to get more drivers. The comment about better shuttles is a direct result of people complaining about not geting enough runs during practice. If you park your 4wd at the bottom of the track and have a willing driver there, dont come to me and complain that you only got 2 practice runs.

Just for the record, transport is only required to shuttle 80 riders per hour. and there is nothing stopping you from pushing your bike up the hill if you would like to do practice runs.
