This is the end result of a little off I had at Ourimbah practicing for the national round there. The bits highlighted in red are the three parts of my colarbone. Hmmm, I'm sure that in science they tought us that there was only supposed to be one part to the colar bone.

Guess it'll be a few weeks before I ride again.

But cool Xray. :)

Ouch brings back memories :)

I feel your pain, clean breaking your collar bone has to be one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have been unlucky enough to share in. It feels so gross when you move and the broken end bits jiggle together *shudder*

Hope it heals up fast!

I second that, having been there before myself. :(

Sleeping has been fine. Nothing a couple of Panadiene Forte and half a bottle of Scotch can't fix! :D

It's waking up and not being able to move to reach for more drugs and alcohol that is killing me!!!

Man i broke my collar bone 2 times in 1.5 weeks. I was dumb enough to break it on my bike then go to a camp with a broken collar. My advice 2 u is not to do anything stupid. That just makes it longer b4 u can get back on ur bike. Hope it heals fast man

Definitely looking forward to getting back to Ourimbah. That was my first time up there. I'd like to complement the CCCC guys on building one sweeeeeet track. :)

Shame my time on it was cut short. Guess I'll be getting my post count up on Farkin rather than being out there riding.

Hey woodsie, sorry to hear about your shoulder , Don't know if ya remember or were still in shock from walkin up the mountain with a busted shoulder, I was the guy who went down to grab ya bike and helmet 4 ya from the crash scene.
Think one of your cranks or pedals may be bent as well unless they were already like it before you crashed.
Rest up and you'll be on the bike in no time.

Thanks for getting the bike for me Spudz, I owe you a beer. Though introduce yourself as I wouldn't have recognised my own mother after that crash!

One of my mates decided that seeing as I'm not gunna need the bike for a few weeks, he might as well borrow it. Cheeky bastard. But he's gunna check over the bike for me, so I'll let him know about the crank and pedal, though might just be because the BB was stuffed already. Think the handlebars are bent aswell.

Geez, I musta been going fast to do that much damage. Proly would've won if I hadn't crashed. Not!

The e-thirteen device rocks. The bash guard is super strong. I have hit a few things with it and not put a dent in it.

I have only got the chain off twice since I got it. First time was riding (not jumping) a four flight staircase flat out, and the chain just pedaled back on without having to stop. The the second time was after my little Ourimbah incident. Hardly suprising really. Part of the trick to it is to adjust your front mech to be biased towards the main ring to hold the chain on the main ring.

If you get one, believe the instructions when they say to not over tighten the bolts. You will crack the plastic.

The biggest problem is getting one. They are really popular and e-thirteen are only a small outfit. I have heard that the Norco distributor may be able to get them. I got mine from a mate who spent three months sourcing one from the states, only to decide he prefered riding XC.

Yeah thanks woodsie will look into em, my lbs can order them through the norco rep, he has already asked me if i wanted one.
Will mainly be using the ac for general riding now i have a dh comp.So sounds like the e-thirteen may do the job just fine.
