this is my 2nd 222, Its a 2002, i have previously owned the same model with a different spec, a patriot and a msisle, so yeah i like oranges :D
i bought it from a friend of mine from up near Cairns, it was definately in need of some love, so after riding it for a few weeks and competeing at Nat#4 at Beauty i decided to pull it down for paint and a re build
the original champagne color was looking very shabby and it had some corrosion under the paint so i gave it heavy coat of paint stripper then a good old fashioned pressure clean was in order, the frame was still in good nic underneath, no cracks but has a few dings and scratches etc, then after a few hours bead blasting (few hours cause i had a sore arm from blasting back and forth, up and down etc LOL)
the frame has now gone to the paint shop, and im still not sure what color its going to come back with, i just told the painter to "go sick"
once its back it will be graced with...
stock 02 boxxers until funds allow for maybe some travis'
juicy 3 with 203 rotors
321/hope wheelset (factory setup still)
e13 with 36t
crank still not sure
x9 der x5 shifter
high roller 2.3 tread
factory answer bars but the tioga cube stem is going in the bin
king headset
close ratio cassette (cant remember what ratio it actually is)
1st pic is just after the front was stripped, 2nd is one of the bigger scratches and corrosion, 3rd is the frame when i finished bead blasting, 4th is on my way to 5th in sport at Mt Beauty
