Hi,

just wanted to know if it would be a disadvantage to put a freecoaster on a bmx if you did mostly dirt jumping and a little street and park on the side?

Cheers,
Greg

Pm technoboy, he does exactly that. He rips on trails, so I can't see any disadvantages except for the obvious one: maintenance, but that applies even if your only doing street. Freecoasters are a bit weaker too I've heard. What one are you planning on getting?

Freecoasters are usually weaker and more expensive then the "normal" hub. It would be pretty much pointless to use one for DJ, but if you do really want one for park and street, then why not.

What would you be getting?

no disadvantage just poinless if u do DJ because you dont really go backwards DJing at all but if you did mostly park street i think it would be a great choice if you had the money.
