Who's got tickets to see the Pixies, either as part of the V Festival or at one of their warm-up gigs?

I so excited by the prospect of finally seeing a live Pixies gig that I've soiled myself on more than one occasion!

To put it in perspective for all those young lads that have never heard of the Pixies, its like all my christmasses coming at once!

I missed out on tonights gig at the Palace, but I'm not too fussed as the Palace is a pretty crap venue. One of those trade-off things: REALLY want to see a band, REALLY hate the venue.

I'm more annoyed at the fact that the Pixies get to do side shows while here for the V festivals, yet nobody else is allowed - something to do with V Festival organisers wanting the artists to appear 'exclusively' at their festivals or something (correct me if wrong). Which means we miss out on seeing Beck down here in Melb ... d'oh!

I've got tickets to Blackjack, the gig their heading in perth, so stoked! Almost missed out due to work, very happy now.

Well, the Pixies played a secret gig last night at the Northcote Social Club, Melbourne. Apparently only 300 lucky punters were admitted.

yah man!! so excited, got tix for v festival in sydney...I really want to see them at luna park this friday as the vibe and sound will be so much better, but cant justify another 75 bux on top of the 135 :eek: for V...anyway, to all those going- rock out with your co*% out!! 3 more sleeps!!!

Dude this is The Pixies man, your gonna complain about the venue,man I'd watch em in the club house of the Local footy team I watch em Play in
any venue it wouldn't matter because it's the Pixies.

The Pixies set at the V Festival was GIGANTIC!!!
I was a little worried about seeing them in a festival instead of a stand alone gig, and when i arrived the New York Dolls were playing and they sounded dreadful - awful sound mixing so i was even more worried that the Pixies wouldnt sound any good either.
All fears were alayed however when Black Francis, Kim, Joey & Dave took to the stage and played the best 24 songs I'm ever likely to hear!
The set started gently with In Heaven and then continued along at a heart pounding rate right to the fantastic closing number Gigantic, sung beatifully by Kim Deal! All their greatest songs were covered and I went away one incredibly happy camper!:D

It doesnt get any better than that.....except hopefully tomorrow night when the Pixies play Thebby Theatre in Adelaide:D :D :D

Am expecting it to exceed my expectations however!
