hi all,
i bought a norco a-line park edition 07, and it has bommer 888's on it,
i'm thinking of selling the 888s and buying some new single crown forks.
but i'm not sure how the geometry will work out, so will my aline run well with single crown forks or will i stick with my 888s??
also if all works out well what would be some good forks (single clamped) for my aline and how much would you think they would be???
please help
thanks.

Boxxer 888? ;)
On topic though - I have seen a few A-lines with older 66's going around and they looked fine to me (although, I haven't actually ridden one - just how it looked).
Not sure which year it was, but the 66's had the same axel to crown height has the 888's, so they are around the same anyway.

boxxxer 888s?
never herd of that before, is that like top half boxxers and the lowers and internals 888s?
the aline parks have 200mm 888s on it with a axel to crown height of 584mm
you still want your aline to feel the same(geo wise) as it does now, but with single crowns you need to find a fork with a close as posslibe axel to crown height as the 888s

don't think there are many 200 mm travel, single crowns out there... the only one i know of is manitou travis, and they aren't cheap.

The A line has adjustable geometry via the shock mounts. On the linkage you can put the shock in 8 inch hole and it steepens the geo, alternativley you can move the top shock mounts to slacken the head angle. In short you can make the geo work with shorter 66's if you wanted to. And A lines have standard size steerer's.
