View Full Version : Moto or Moto Digger?
Yes I've searched. Shut up. Nothing i found specific to my needs.
I've been running Holy Rollers and i'm keen to venture into DMR tyres.
Needs:
24"
Low rolling resistance.
Grippy.
Predictable turning etc.
Used for Street, Dj, and the odd patch of freeride and downhill.
I don't know much about these two tyres.
Which one is for what?
Any other suggestions?
P.s. I'm not interested in NPJ signatures or FS100's as great as they are for street.

I just got a set of DMR MOTO tires and they are sweet, in terms of grip and rolling resistance for street and hard pack dirt. I have also ridden on MOTO DIGGERS in the past and have found them to be a great all round tire, especially on dirt.
If you are doing mostly dirt based riding i would go for the MOTO DIGGERS.
Thanks for that.
How to Moto diggers hold up on ashphalt though?
What sort of prices am i looking at?

The Diggers are going to feel a little slower (but not heaps) on the tarmac, and a bit more squirrelly/squirmy under hard cornering, especially at higher pressures. Then again, when they let go, you've got less rubber actually touching the ground, so it'll be a bit more predictable / controllable.
Go the Diggers if you are hitting the dirt more than anything. Maybe a Digger front / Moto rear if most of that is hardpack / jump trails.
They're far from a DH tyre, but they'll give you some basic sort of grip.
Halo Twin Rails are worth a look too, but they won't give the same traction in the looser stuff.
There isn't really a tyre that will perform any better than OK at opposite ends of the spectrum - which is basically what you're asking for.
You're better off with two sets of tyres of course, but that's not the answer you were looking for :D

Hahaha. Thanks. I knew my enquiry was a fair stretch.
As a last resort i was going to go different tyres each end. Just, going down certain trails on holy rollers is fairly hairball sometimes but what i'm really after is the impossible.
Thanks for the advice guys.
Oops meant to ask.
What width do they both come in?
And prices??

Maybe a Digger or the front and a Moto on the rear? Definitely look at the Halo Twin-Rails though.
Have you looked at larrsens(sp)? They are fast and grippy
