I've got a new bike with Juicy's and the pads are the worst pieces of crap I have ever come across. Same problems mentioned in previous threds on the subject - they glaze over after 30 mins of XC, then squeal and pulse. Tried sand paper, isopropanol on rotor to clean etc. No good. Have the '07 rotors so I assume the rotor is not the problem.

So, I've had Clarks suggested as a good replacement. Are they good, and where can they be got at a decent price (in Oz if possible)? Are there other pad brands that people have had success with?

EBC has a large range however Im unsure if that covers juicies??

I have never had problems with them and they have never glazed up on me.

From memory, about $40 pair.

I would definately recommend these

Using them for dh? I've got some Galfar red compound pads and they are a huge improvement over the stock pads. Less of the feedback, really nice power. I think they are 50 something a pair from phantom, much less of cause from the us though.

I've tried both EBC Golds (sintered) and Clarks VRX (sintered) in my XT 4 pots so my experience may not necessarily translate to your juicies. Both are excellent brake pads with the only real difference coming down to feel. The Clarks felt very linear in their braking whereas the EBCs have more initial bite. Both make some noise but are not unacceptably loud and neither have ever glazed on me and I'm a big heavy bloke.

As for getting them. Phantomcycles sell the EBCs and you should be able to get your LBS to ordr in the Clarks.

No Glazing or squeeling.
We use these to fix issues with the juicy brakes.
Half the price of most other aftermarket pads as well.
