i was doing a 180 and for some gay reason the wheel buckled beyond repair.
i had sun rims singletrack but i dont want them as they didnt go very well last time.
is there any difference between double and single wall rims for how strong they are for landing sideways?
and would there be any advantage in strength if i was to get a 24" wheel?
cheers ruffin.

Yes, 24" wheels are considerably stronger and also, a double wall rim will be stronger than a single wall in general.

Seeing as you had singletracks i'd recommend an MTX, and depending on the bikes, a 24" one.

generally you should try not to land sideways. MTX, 729, 721 - all good rims to look into (among others)

hub? whatever

Do a search. 721/729 if you're staying with 26", MTX or King Pin if you go 24". Just to name a few.

yer go the MTX, they are a great solid rim, not overly heavy and with nice tight spokes you should be right to keep doing your 180's :D cheers. Mike

I'm running a MTX on my Orange Patriot and it feels like a beast! Why not a Dirtbag FR or DH? Very very strong rims and very affordable. Give Beno a pm if you'r interested seeing as though he is the importer.
