Good to see some close times throughout- top 3 in elite and u19 on the same second. Ben Nylen killed 17s as well.

I don't suppose someone could copy and paste the results up on this thread so that those without excel can read it.

Cheers

So what'd everyone think?
I came off in practice on the saturday and couldn't race on sunday. Got the X rays done today, impact fracture in my left hand, break in my right (not casted as the break is on a joint so I have to try and keep it partially mobile). No riding for 6-8 weeks. So i'm pissed off.

Has anyone heard about James Bashman(name?)? If you don't know who i'm talking about, i'm referring to the local elite rider and had to be ambo'ed out of the track after nose casing a double before triple treat.

what a great weekend. i've never really been a big fan of the new stromlo dh coarse but after sunday mornings breif shower it really turned into a great track(untill about 12 when it turned into a dust bowl again:( ).
i had a great weekend and a race time way better than i expected so im definatly going to stay in elite for the rest of this years series.

MASSIVE THANKS goes to Damien Reeve for going out of his way and asking around for a juicy 5 lever to get my mate out of trouble and another MASSIVE THANKS to Nicho Bailey for having exactly what we needed and selling it to us.
you guys rule.

a big thumbs down goes to the varoius canberra bike shops who would'nt take a lever off any of there bikes on the floor to sell to us even after we offered a ridiculous amount of money to get one. piss poor effort:mad:

Where did the course finish , before the uphill bit ? Times are way quicker than the Nationals.

The finish line was pretty much straight after the last drop to the fireroad. The step-up and flat sprint were removed to the relief of many riders!

YAY! I BEAT SQUIDS:)

All in all a great weekend...Twas good to have a go at the triple.Almost threw up at the finish.

Highlight. Watching the pinner from orange in his moto gear muscle through the triple t.

lowlight. the one chair podium!

Scariest moment. watching a first run special come into the big stepdown, pull the brakes and go straight into the hole. had a good laugh when he got up ok:)

ixs round 1 state down hill this weekend just past was farking awsome from start to finish!
but theres always a few majic moments that will stay implanted on your brain.
for me. seeing the more proficiant of our breed hitting up the big drop conecting the big gap and launching the hip was just unreal!!
seeing five blocks frantically ripping apart and preping bikes in a tiny..ish hotel room with a bit o beer under thier belts . gold.
and my own lil' chest nut. me,during my race run. passing some cat at the hip section . he went wide around the berm and i hit an passed him on the middle line .which up til that point i hadn't even considerd possible( by me)
a great race a great weekend!!!
how about you guys an girls???

Really enjoyed the track and had a good weekend along with a good result, apart from pinch flatting afew times in practice and our car battery being dead when leaving sunday night.
I was extatic when i heard they re-opened the "tripple threat" line on race day, then poo'd again when heard was closed.
All and all great race, forgot to thank race organisers, so, thanks for putting such a great event.
