Sorry if this pisses people of but need to know some thoughts.

I have done exstensive research, dont lots of reviews and cant come to a desision of which fork would suit me best for FreeRide & Downhill.
Boxxer Teams 07
V.S
06 Marzocchi 888 VF2

Its a fork i cant deside on. Ide like it to Suit my Giant Dh Comp 06, also with weight aswell. :D
Weight is a big desision as well.

Would like some feed back, thoughts or suggestions on which one would be best.

Cheers.
Calo

I haven't had personal experience with 888's of any sort, but I'm running 06 teams at the moment which are the same as 07 I believe. They're going awesome so far and I can highly recommend them in terms of performance and weight. They would be the better of the two for weight and from what I can tell have better internals etc.

Can guarantee you there's not a thing wrong with them. He's always like shivers so wants to give them a go. They feel great and look pretty much new.

Thanks jordo, yeah as he said I wanna try shivers that's all. I've always liked them but was concerned about weight and heard alot of bad reviews, however I also heard alot of good reviews and after giving it a good thought I've decided the pros outway the cons.

Therefor I'm now looking for some and would have already bought the ones disturbed rider is selling only I'm poor at the moment so I need to sell the teams so I can buy his or some others. If you're interested gimme a buzz, I'm open to offers on them.

Cheers, Tom.

i understand calo, you wonna keep the choice simple.you've heard what i had to say,but after many days of deliberation,i say go the teams.:D

though you could be unwittingly challenging and go for a single crown, but i bet you wont;)

Calo, with my experience in going to races and service experience with Bommers,
the boxers are a better race fork as they are lighter than the bombers. Maybe a little plusher but I would be sceptical on that if you have the right oil weight for yourself.
However, Bombers are bombproof.
Walk around on race day looking at everyone's stantions.
I'd say 30% of boxers have blown seals.
They have to be serviced regularly.
Bombers on the other hand need minimal servicing & when you do they are a piece of piss to do so.
Empty oil, put new oil in and go. Seals rarely need replacing.
You won't break a 888 while free-riding either.
I'd be very nervice jumping off Lizard rock or Vegemite at Oxford falls on a set of boxers, but I had no second thoughts using a 66RC.
Depends what you are after mate.

Just another question, what about:

888 RC2X 2nd hand !
V.S
Boxxer Teams

Also, will boxxer teams survive on big hucks, as i am a freeride dh'er, mostly dh as there is no freeride where i live.

Opinions welcome.
Cheers Calo

Nah i reckon go the 888's. The teams are a good downhill fork but thats all they are built for. The 888s will be much better for freeriding and although a bit heavier and not as good a downhill fork as the teams it will still do an excellent job.
So yeah I reckon if you want a fork thats equally good for freeride and downhill go the 888's.

Peace
