thats the ugliest thing ever.
bombshell have been making carbon race forks for bmxs for a while. frames were only going to be a matter of time really. while i think that looks like sin, its good to see a company experimenting with new designs and materials

GT is going carbon crazy. Isn't Brian Lopes new 4X rig a carbon frame now also?
The bmx doesn't really look that good in my opinion but its only a matter of time before others jump on board the carbon phase too.
couldn't find a weight, i think most of gt's bikes are ugly but its how they ride isn't it?

These days everyone is going carbon crazy, it's the next step in weight reduction, by 2010 I reckon you will be seeing a lot more of the DH/4X market going to Carbon.
I wouldn't be suprised if Lopes' new 4X rig is carbon, damn it'd be light, the alloy lopes frame weighs about 1.85kg.

Which puzzles me. They goto all the measures to make it light by using carbon and all that jazz, then use Saint cranks?
Yeah looks like absolute arse, but at least they're trying different things.

Looks alright.,would be stiffer than a 16yr old at a peep show.
Any links to the Lopes bike?

It doesn't look THAT bad kinda like a mini TT frame :P.
FMF make part carbon part aluminium frames, smallest size is ~1000g, cruiser size is about 1.6ish kg for the frame

As requested, picture of the Lopes carbon frame as used in the Dual Slalom in Sea Otter earlier this month.

look at the swingarms...the one on lopes bike is beefier.
id say theyre roughly the same platform but with obvious geo tweaks for lopes

the one i posted has an Al swingarm. lopes' appears to be all carbon.
those GTs look beautiful, except for the BMX.
i want 1 of each.

That BMX looks just like a carbon laher. A giant penis with wheels. I guess the chicks dig it.
