Girls be careful Gap Creek Brisbane!!!!

One of my regular lady riders decided to head out to Gap Creek early this morning before the RAW session. Now nothing actually happened but she was approached by a very dodgy acting male in the car park on Gap Creek Rd, he was smoking had no bike and was asking her to show him the Lanatana trail. She felt very cornered and that things just weren't right so she pointed in the general direction and rode away. He continued to follow her so she kept riding away when male riders turned up he got in his car and drove away.

Again nothing happened and it may have been completely innocent but with the attacks on women at parks lately you can't be to careful.
Yes we have notified the police and they are taking it very seriously.
Please spread the word and contact police if you're approached as well.
No.1 get a rego if safe to do so.

on another note, mount cootha has been known for this kind of activity. i suggest always ride with a partner or in groups, for more than just general safety reasons, because there are weirdos out there. be careful !!!

This is scary and I think her intuitive feeling that this guy was dodgey was right! Especially since he followed her.

There are so many reports of female riders being attacked on Brisbane bike ways. Ironically, I go riding on off-road trails by myself frequently... this makes me think twice.
