Im planning to make 3 or so sets of dirt jumps(doubles) but i don't know how much gap and steepness of the lip I need? As well as the length apart (to the next one). Coz im getting the dirt dumped by truck. I want jumps to do tricks off. About 5 foot high...Mountain Bike as well. Please help.
Cheers :D

well if you wanna do like 360s and tailwhips and stuff you might want to think about a table top or a not so big gap. If you just want to no footer and xup pretty much any jump will do as long as it pops you upwards and smothly at the same time. and as for gap distance well dont make something you are going to be super afraid to jump because then you wont trick it.
my 2 cents

Stands to reason that you would make 3 different jumps, Big double for tricks that need a lot of airtime, a table top for tricks your just learning and then a nice steep popper with a big soft down ramp :D

for my trick jump i have it about 1.3m high with a 2m gap and a pretty steep upramp also i like to have a 3m wide down ramp that way i feel safer when doin tricks, works for me.

for trick jumps, you have about a 2m high ramp and about as vert as a quarter pipe, with about a 1 metre gap and a pretty much flat landing so you dont have to push down. hope this helps:D

thats what our old jumps were like yet steep! there good for tricks, but for trick's i prefer like a 5 meter wide tabletop about 3 meter's high!

how did you get enough dirt for a 3m up ramp by 5m wide table top?

Put land fill sign in front of my friends house when he use to ride moty's and they made a 50 track and to the side they put dirt so we made dirt jumps!

holy crap batman!!! 3 meters high? thats a MASSIVE upramp!!
or is it 3 meters including the curve? im picturing 3 meters high perpendicular to the ground.
my piece: build the downramp reeaaaaally wide so u cant possible miss it. theres not much worse than thinkin u pulled off n awesome trick then lookin down and realisin theres no down ramp beneath you.

I want to build a tiny muck around jump in my backyard to try limb flingers and stupid shit on - only about 0.8-1.2m high though - any suggestions?
