Has anyone had any professional contact with or experience/knowledge of the Australian Bicycle Council?
Just had a look for it in the 2007 Bicycling Year Book and that name doesn't appear anywhere that I can see. More info?

Just because they have a cycling b'ody' doesn't mean there's a head attached.

What is your relationship with the 'council'? Sounds very Star Trek to me....
I know they could use someone to proof their website!

Interesting read, but we, as in MTBA is not part of it.
The council has not made the connection that off road is the safest cycling, keeping kids on dirt, away from tar and those big metal things that kill you.
I think we are seeing this comming through though, NSW has just nominated two coaches to be train the trainers so Mountain Bikes are finally getting some coaches that will train in MTB give Scott a little help. This is from CA which may be this ABC's work.
We still have a long way to go in NSW in convincing councils and NSW Government to create the major paths we want, This week I put to the Deparrtment of Planning a submission for 3 tracks off the new Western Sydney Park trail, and we have had many discussions about the Penrith to Lithgow trail using W2G as part with Blue Mountain Council, but thats a lot more work.
By the way Stuart O'Grady? whats the go?
