I went to Redhill by myself hoping for a couple of small jumps to learn on, but freaked when I saw the size of some of those mutha's!!

Not one table top in site to practice on

I really want to get into dirt jumps so where in Syd are some smaller ones?

Thanks

If you're in North Sydney the closest jumps which arent all that "secret" would be the paddocks at Willoughby. Head north from Northbridge shops along Eastern Valley Way, and at the bottom of the dip between Northbridge and Castlecrag there's a big grass area on the left. There's a nice line there to learn on.

Alternatively, if you want tabletops, and really small ones, try Northbridge tennis courts, near the golf course, there's a set of small dirt jumps, made for little kids basically, but would be ok if you're only JUST learning.

Hope that helps fellas.

Fred Caterson BMX track at Castle Hill has quite a few table tops and different style jumps of various sizes.. It's where I learnt to jump as a wee lad and is still fun to hit up even 15 years later.

hey Tristan

Yeah I have seen those ones in the paddock, they are just up the road from me...I thought they belonged to someone so didnt want to impose and start riding them without permission.

Last time I saw them they looked like they had a lot of grass grown over the top of them. Who maintains these? I am happy to help out if need be.

I will also check out the ones near the tennis court...kiddies ones might be just what I need to get started.

Thanks for the heads up

Mate, those jumps at Willo padocks have been there for ages, I'm sure no one will be put out if you ride/maintain them. Go for your life I reckon.
