Today I had one of my worst but coolest looking stacks ever. If I had a camera there would be pics now but hopefully I can get some later. In short I stacked and my top two chainrings found them a nice place in the back of my leg. I had to pull my leg out of it and it looked as if my leg had been gouged out. Anyway when I cleared the masses of blood I could see two nice rows of evenly spaced holes in my leg, OWWWWWWW!!!!!!

I took off the dressing today. 7 nice holes in my leg. It looks cool because they get progressively bigger towards the middle. I think I'll tell my grand kids I got machine gunned in the back of the leg... :p

Been there done that........ I have the scars to prove........Buy a bashguard, it makes mtb soo much more enjoyable when you dont have holes in your pants and your legs.

My old xc rig, the chain used to slap around a fair bit and i would get home with a black ankle, ruined socks and 1 black and white shoe while the other was white............ I used to ride my bike backwards to make it symmetrical :D

Done it too. 10 stitches on an MTB road trip in the middle of no where.

Still came out better than my mate who popped his elbow! Trip over for him :)

+1 member of the clear skin on the back of the calf.

I was on my bmx on the way home from work many years ago. Came to a big intersection and thought i'd beat the traffic with a cool stand-up mono, quarter way across the intersection, looking fine when, BAM, chains derailed i've gonna half arsed over the bars and landed in the centre of the intersection. i carved a nice slice down the back of my calf, gravel rash, but for sure i made some peak commuters' day.
Gotta love the big gashes that flap open with that white flesh:D

I copped my brake lever in my thigh, it was 7 cm deep according to the surgeon that stitched me up, it looked like I had been shot. I only had two stitches on it though. I missed my main arterie in my thigh by about 3 cm. If I had hit it I would have bled to Death in about 5 minutes. Plus I didn't have a phone so I had to ride one footed whilst not moving my injured leg for about 500 metres until their was a pay phone so I could call my mum.

my storys slighty shitter :o

got the old chainring bite scar (not that impressive).. on top of that scar a fresh pedal slap (to the back of the leg some how).
Although its not a massive image on my leg (like most DH riders scar peppered legs) it looks like a double image if you no what i mean.
