Hey im quite stumped about what audio system to install in my car. Actually i have no idea because i basically know nothing about it. All i know is that my car will fit two 6x9 speakers at the back and two other speakers at the front(unsure of what size they are yet). I also have to buy a CD tuner deck. The deck im looking at a pioneer . Im on a budget so i dont want any stupidly expensive systems. No need to worry about the amp and sub just yet either. im willing to spend around 500buks

Car Audio Australia (http://caraudioaustralia.com.au/) will solve all your problems, if you have the time.
Basically, head to any car audio store (JB Hi-Fi, Strathfield, etc) and tell them what you want. They'll tell you what they've got and how much it'll cost, and eventually fit you out. Easy as punch.

head over to a jb store they will generaly have a headunit and front speaker pack for under 350.. (for a half decnet headunit with pre-outs for amps down the track, aux in.. etc etc) .. and a pair of 6x9's, for about 150 should be done quite easily, no reason to get anything extrodinary if your only running of headunit, .. just cause it says its a 600w speaker, does not mean it is better then a 150w speaker.
im at work atm, so i dont have time to recomend anything, but i might try help later if im bored.
plus10 bucks in speaker wireing.. should be able to get it done for under 450.. as long as you can instal your self, if you cant jb charges roughly 50 bucks to do the fronts, 90 for headunit, and about 70 for rear 6x9s.. this is in a holden sedan...
installing stuff isnt that hard as long as you know what you are doin, and the internet has step by step guides on installin most headunits.
