how often do you pop tubes

as the title says how often do you pop tubes or get a slow leak .because is it normel to go through 2 tubes a week i ride nearly every day after school from 3;30pm till 6pm and all day on weekends.

Well I go through around 2 every 2 weeks, though I ride nearly everyday. Also depends on how smooth you are.

get thorn resistant tubes.weigh alot but i have had like 2 in the past 6 months,compared to like 2 a week sometimes-thorn resistant are soo tough ive cased hard on coping and my rim had a massive dent but no flat i only got a flat from a big piece of glass that just pierced the tube

ps i ride every day pretty much and case alot cause my local is shit

my local has shit and exremley uneven trannys.u always case on the hips if u go big and its too mellow to air and every time u do the hip it changes its so fucked

i used to get punctures every time i would ride my bike. i got sick of always fixing it. i bought a set of tyre liners and i havnt had a puncture ever since.

people get flats constantly? i only ever get them if i nose dive 360's or case really bad. i ve only had 6 in the past year. got 3 in one week once (bad week). i run my pressure at like 60psi so i don't get pinches.

i think alot of it depends on what pressures you are running... i run 85 psi in the front and 80 in the rear........ still havn't had a flat since i moved to bmx from mtb

i run ultralight tubes in ASMs and GHLs and have never had a puncture except for running over glass once :S i do run 90psi front and back, so i figure that helps.

All you guys going on about how many you pop ... it's not good/cool/pro. Check your tyres/tubes/rims/spokes, I went through like 10 tubes just coz of some fucking shit tyre. And about another 5 coz of some fucking shit rim/spokes.

in the last year i popped 2 tubes. dunno but i ride 6.5 bars pressure in the rear wheel, dont have any real problems with tubes popping.

i use tp tubes and need to replace them bout every month/2 months or so.
and who the hell doesnt use rim tape?
tyre liners weigh heaps but stop evrything.

No way i only use like 3 in a whole year, and i ride everyday. I have thorn resistant tubes but still even if they are normal tubes you shouldn't be going though them that quickly it's just ridiculous:eek:

i only run 60psi in the back and 60psi in the front well i will try a higher pressure about 90psi (i have maxxis m treads they say 110psi max but my pump dont go up to 110psi highest is 100psi and i run standerd tubes 5 dollar cheapys)i will go put 90 in and see how i do over the weekend
