Nice bike you've got there.

In the interests in saving weight doing the wheels first would be best, but what does that massive sofa saddle your using weigh?

well with regards to wheels i cant do them first as the wheelset will be v brake specific and i will have no brakes, if i get new forks i will save around 500g's and still have brakes, then wheelset and new brakes will come at the same time, and yes my saddle is bad and heavy, im gonna change it too a fizik arione i think

Why do you want V-Brakes? What wheels are you looking at? Surely you could get some decent wheels and keep you Juicy 5s...

Wheels either crossmax v brake if a cheap second hand set comes up, or xc717's on xtr hubs (or something sealed, unsure atm)

the thing for me is, i can build an awesome v brake wheelset cheaper than a disc wheelset, same with xtr v's, on ceramic rims they will perform awesome. so basically, its alot lighter, cheaper, and performance wont suffer that much

Mmmm fair enough. Just thought I'd ask.

I have 717's on Hope XC hubs and they are an awesome rim. You won't regret them =D

i like it but 2 suggestions are a shorter stem and put the seat down and it would look sweet just for photo purposes

reba race or r7 platinum, wheelset, v brakes, post, stem, pedals (Maybe), seat all will be changed if you get me, it's possible but wont be easy

That is a pretty mad bike, do you prefer single speed? You could maybe lose weight with a new seat. They are reasonable. what do you use your bike for?

cheers mate, im loving the single speed, so much less hassle and weight than geared, and it looks way cooler, pedaling isnt an issue either as the ratio is ideal for how i ride, im planning on getting a new seat when i have the funds saved,

It will come close if you ever FINISH IT man!

It really does look awesome. Need to get the new forks/wheels/brakes happening so it will really fly. Though Im not a fan of SS, this is an exception...makes it look soo clean!

All looking good gents'

mine should be up and rolling in the next few weeks. remainder of parts are on order. Avid carbons are yet to be found, waiting on a decent deal to pop up.....

forks are also on order, managed to secure myself a new set of fox F100 RLC's at a reasonable price.

password, you've taken a similar path as i have with the red anodized skewers! hey that would be a long cage you have yeah? have ordered an X.0 long cage just to be safe.

starting to lose patients - want it built NOW!!

hi, the frame looks great. i'm thinking about getting one.
do you mind to help me with a few questions about the frame?
-are the decals under the paint or only pasted on top?
-what size the seatpost?
-is the frame color powdered or black anodised?
i wonder if 17" will be the right framesize for my girlfriend. she is 1,71m.

thanks in advance and greetings from germany!

Got my new frame monday and thought it was about time to post it up, so here she is, my bmc virus 01. Its the same as my old ironhorse pretty much with the new frame.
