I've been trying to get these for ages. i know how to spin because i can 360 out of quarters without any difficulty but just cant seem to get 180s on the flat, and just wondering if you do a 180 drop the way you do a flatland 180?
I'm trying to do them on a 24' mtb if that makes any difference. I've been told that the best way is to lift both your wheels up at the same time just enough to get your front wheel around.
Does it help to be going at speed.

Here's a short vid of my mate Elliot doing what you want to do, on my 24" mtb. Basically he starts to turn a quick semi-circle on the ground, but lifts up the front wheel for a quick "snap" style thing around.
If you pause and watch his movement you might get a little more insight, hope it helps.

Practise ...
1. Pre-Torque
2. Start looking in the direction you want to spin and where you want to land
3. Hop and spin

how far around are you getting?
can you take a video so people can see what your doing wrong?
i found that it was easyer for me to 180 drop off things side ways, so i rode along next to the curb and 180 off, practice, practice practice, and a little more practice
