well, just over a year ago, due to work and other issues, i regretfulyl sold my revell 450 i had built up :(
BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!
only a few months after selling, i changed jobs and now have much more time for riding, not to mention i missed it soo much!
so just as a hack to get around on and get used to it all again, i grabbed an 07 P1 at a good price :)
the only mods are....
*brakes removed
*lots cut of the bars
*odyssey jim C pedals
*stripped and painted matt black
i am holding back from spending any money on this bike while i build up my ultimate bike, a BMW park frame with al lthe good bits ( pics and updates coming ver ysoon!).
1st pic, my old bike :(
2nd pic, the P1...

i cant wait to see that!... but it raises the issue that i'll have to get off my arse and ride my BMW and some point.

im not going to pretend i can answer that honestly. its been a sort of slow, long term build and between having a full time job away from brisbane over my holidays and normal uni i have barely taken it for a proper ride. if you want to take it for a spin one day we can certainly arrange it.

He couldn't tell you that, maybe give you some advice on wall mounts and the alike?;)
The P1 doesn't look that bad man, the Revell does look nicer, but never the less, you're not stuck on an STP, right?

Sweet P1 mate, nice respray.:D

Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 3.5's.

yeh, the forks are 3.5's...???? lol,
they are ok i guess, little soft for someone my size... but they do the job!
as for the frame, well, i know some may want to lynch me for this, but i think i liek it better than the revell..... purely because the rear end is much shorter on the P1. other than that, it rides nice, very easy to flick around ( easier than the revell anyway). no complaints from me :)
and finally the paint job..... the green was ok..... just a little too "look at me" for my liking... so i paint stripped it back, sanded, undercoated and finalyl coated it in matt black! i was happy for a days work!

P.1 is nice, i think some BMX cranks and that thing would be killer

yeh i'd love some on it,but im holding out on buying any parts for it, keeping all the good bits for the bmw ;)

no real updates on it, the rear rim shat itself, not cool.
i had to put a spare rim i had on it. this rim is of a specialized hardrock ss from about 3 years ago! and its held up stronger than the rear wheel on the 07P1, go figure!
and finally got some grips that dont suck!
and the brakes will be going back on( well, rear at least) once the BMW is complete so my gf can ride it :)

Nice p1, there pretty solid bikes. But as you've done, change the grips and the rear wheel and she'll be perfect. I True my rear wheel almost every time I go for a ride so Im getting a 721. Btw, it looks really nice brakeless.
they are ok i guess, little soft for someone my size... but they do the job!
If your still finding them soft just pump some air into them, undo the top cap on the right leg(might be left can't remember but the caps completely black) and there's a valve there you can pump them up until there as hard as you want.
