any of these sites go to frames and eat your heart out very cheap about 100 dollars shipping but you would still pick some of the best frames for about 500 aussie like 250 cheaper than any where in australia

how much are thsoe bikes your looking at RRP at you LBS??
the integral bel air looks alright for 680 USD.. that would be roughly 900 aud, plus shipping... which is a bit more then what you looking at i belive.
but full brand name compnents decent wheel set, cranks etc.
if i had a spare grand id buy one.

i was actually looking at hte 2hip completes in the danscomp catalogue lastnight and thought they were a pretty good starting point. they have most things that are standard on a 'modern custom build' and the spec itself seems pretty reasonable.
i have never ridden one though, so i can confirm how good they are. you seem to have some positive experiences wit hteh 2hip bikes so that is probably a good option for yourself.
and if you are new to bmx, i would suggest buying it from your local bike shop and not off hte internet, there may be questions or mechanical issues that you cant fix due to limited experience, so having a store that is able to help you out in a time of need is always a worthwhile resource. they may be a bit hesitant to help you out if your bike is from an overseas mailorder company.
