i was just trying to fit in with the other stp riders

anyway, heres my stp2. just got it back from the shop after some work.
man does it ride nice now. so good to be able to land and not have the chain bounce off or the derailuer clanging around. also made it considerably lighter.

nah, its just a last minute fix so i could have the right gearing for my road/ride trip to perth this weekend.

But isn't that really low gearing?..... like REALLY low? I would have thought it'dbe only good for trials or something... not really riding anywhere?

nah, its great gearing actually. i hate having too high gearing.

this is a good balance between easy take off and not spinning out too early.

Really?.. I find 32/16 a bit too low for me even.

hmm, i dont know then. yeh, ive been riding around for months with the gears kept in the equivelant of this gearing which is 24/14 and have never need to go to a higher gear.

no, before i went SS i rode around for a month or two at 24/14 which is the same ratio as 36/21.
