I'll ask around at uni for you. Out of interest, can you share some more info as to what the display is?

It's for the Darling Harbour Living Expo starting on the 25th of May and finishing on the 27th of May which is being held at the Exhibition Centre, my work (Austrol Industries) is running a trade stand there which i'll be there on the Friday and Sunday and one of the products is a waterproof MP3 player - the display is a fishtank with the waterproof MP3 player floating around on the top of the water with the earphones hanging out with music playing and all the other MP3 players sitting on the bottom not working. We're hoping to market the waterproof MP3 player to swimmers, surfers, kayakers...MTB riders, etc. :D

Come and say hi to me. :)

Elliot (ronald macdonald on farkin) has a dead U2 iPod he'd probably lend you. PM him, or i'll ask for you, then get back to you. I've also got one of the old iPod shuffles (the elongated white ones) that you could use if you'd like.

i have a pretty much dead iriver H20.....

i think its dead.. i could fix it but havnt been bothered...

hrm.. now im hesitating on lending this to you now cause..i rather like irivers i dont think it should be at the bottom of the tank :p unless it was floating halfway up ... it would be ok..

as long as you dont put irivers on the same levels as ipods. i guess i would be ok :D

I class iRivers above iPods because I myself have a T10. :)

But that's beside the point in this exercise.

I think on ebay you can buy dummy ipods which look exactly the same as a normal one just have no internals etc. Have a look.

Will you pay postage?I've got a few dead MP3 players here (without drives in them) but that shouldn't make any difference.

There are developments in progress to allow for Mac usage, They're developing the DRM file format to run with iTunes so Mac users can enjoy the benefits along with PC users. :)
