The new website www.wheel-world.net is looking for moderators for their forums. The site is due to be released on Sunday the 13th but the forums are fully opperational. The role of a "mod" is to police the forums, they have the power to delete, edit and move posts. If you think you have what it takes or you have previous experience first go to www.wheel-world.net then register with the forum. Once you have done this email forumadmin@wheel-world.net with the following information.
*Your username
*Your name (optional)
*A short reasoning why you wish to be a moderator on a mountain bike forum (this dosnt have to be long)
*Any previous experience at moderating. (if so please include the website and your username for that forum)
*Your experience with other forums (eg. Mtbdirt, username: Blah and 322 posts)
*What section you would like to be a moderator of.

We appreciate every application and we will get back to you asap. While you are waiting for a reply it would probably also help to contribute to our forums to increase your chances of you being selected.

Good Luck!
Wheel world Admin.

I dont think thats going to be a problem most people are members of several different forum anyway. I am a member of farkin, mtbdirt, pinkbike and now wheel-world and i contribute to them equally.

I think mtb websites with forums as a main topic should be kept at a minimum to keep more mtbers together, under one roof and have their conversations at the same place. I think that would benifit us all, as everthing would get viewed by more poeple (the same people), and have more chance of getting what was asked/said viewed.
???

I see your reasoning but i dont think that is going to happen and i think the more exposure the sport gets the better off we will all be.:)

It hurts my eyes and if an admin can't even spell correctly what hope does the rest of its forum minions have?

Why not wait until your community gets a little larger and just allow forum leaders to emerge naturally? Seems pretty weird to advertise your forums by asking for moderators. I'm sure that if your website takes off then plenty of candidates will show up.

A bit harsh - the forums look OK but that front page nearly made my eyes burst.

Thats the plan but we need some mods for the moment so we are taking the best aplications that are submitted and we will review them in a couple of months time.

:) lawl.Mate, i know that you were just taking the piss, but shut the fuck up would you please?

Just checked the link, you're such an idiot. You're so desparate for people to think you're the shit that you give yourself away every time. I don't know what you're getting out of this but we have a thread dedicated to you in the Mods forum. We can't believe how much of a zero you are. We used to love it when you'd beg us to re-instate you; "Oh come on guys, I was just having a bad day. I promise I'll be good from now on". Do you beg your parents like that too? "Oh come on mummy, let me ride bikes with the big boys. I promise I'll be good from now on".

Your continued re-emergence everytime we ban you doesn't piss us off, it hardly even rates a mention any more. We just shake our heads and think to ourselves "fuck me, what a sad case this goose is". The only reason I'm typing this now is in hope that you log on again and just act normal instead of trying to show everyone how much of an E-hero you are. "I've been here longer than you, look I can prove it". Why would anyone give a shit how long you've been here?! They'd rather you just shut the fuck up and stop trying to prove yourself all the time.

You realise that you are now becoming the new Rooks, don't you?

Sorry for derailing the thread, just had to take care of some Modmin business ;)

You corrected someone but then had a grammatical error in the same post.:p

I became a member for when it takes off;) . Personally I think the "We wheely like bikes" motto is a bit corny.

140 members. I bet most of them came from Farkin. Shows how much a bit of free advertising can do you.

Good luck with the website though.

Why do you even need a motto? Its a bike website for christ sake but just to help you out how about "We're here. We're queer. Get used to it." Simple but effective. I like it!

Whats the stars under your username mean?

The number of stars will increace when you acheave certain post milestones (1,20,100,500,1000 posts etc) or if you get premoted to a mod etc. There is also the reputation system where if you go into a users profile you can give them feedback and a rating, i am monitoring this closley though as i can see the reputation system being abused and if this happens i will diable it.
