Update on Waddell Race - 7/8th of Feb

Hi guys,
Just an update for you.

The Waddell fundraising race for the 7/8th of Feb is looking like it will be one of the biggest downhill races ever in WA. Lots of organising has gone into it to date with the first runs on the new track taking place last weekend. The track (designed by Sam and Sabrina) is open and fast, and with a bit of running in over the next couple of weeks it should go off come race day.

A start list of all of those that have registered online or donated is being compiled and can be viewed here (http://perthmtb.com/modules/Forums/files/waddellstartlist.html).

This list will be updated daily until the day of the race so any companies, friends and riders make sure your name is on it come the 8th of Feb. US$20 for under 17's is all it takes. US$35 to get your name on the elite list.

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i dont have an account at the PMBC so this is the next best place. this is for anyone organising or attending the event. it may be a bit late but has anyone contacted channel 10 about this, maybe get some coverage on TV on sports tonight/cactus/chilli factor. or even any of the news stations 7, 9, 10.

i think it would be great to let Aus know what lengths we go to to support our fellow riders, and just to get more MTB on TV.

yep they have been contacted and should be there.
10 ran a news story on shooter about 3 weeks ago where they also mentioned the race and the fundraising calander.

Hope to see all you wa riders there, and hope to see all you farkiners on the list.
