MY new XC bike..K2 team frame.xt,xtr parts ,& my car

i decided to start racing again, so i built up a new bike..


K2 zed team frame. (1300 grams unpainted )
(1550 grams painted custom blue)


2007 xtr shifters, rear deraileur & levers.
XT cranks & brakes.
Reba race forks with remote lockout.
ritchey wcs/pro bars,stem, seatpost.
cranks bros pedals.
basic shimano wheels for now.

I just put these parts on it to get the bike moving. when it suits my budget i will get some king hubs built onto lights rims & get some sid carbons.

I cant belive how frikin nice & smooth the XTR shifters are! effortless shifting spot on everytime, & with the new thumb-thumb, thumb-figer shift its alot more comfortable.

Are the new wheels going to be V-brake only or planning discs?

Na. I havn't weighed it yet, i will weigh it tommorow at work it feels fairly light at the moment even with the heavy wheels in it.

I will still set up the new wheels for V-brakes only..

As good & powerfull disks are I still prefer the feel of V-brakes.. Plus i dont like bleeding/working on disk brakes..


I dont think i will sell this frame..haha. ive had my eye on it for ages.
My mate was on the K2 usa team & he had the exact frame built with X.O parts & sid forks..
He let me borrow it for a couple of races when he was over here & i fell in love with it, When he left the team & came back to australia they gave him a bike & some frames to keep & hooked me up with a frame..

heres my other ride,, similar colour to the bike

but i set it up for the bikes to carry them to races so the dont just slide around it the back of the tray,, its a rodeo with raised tray floor & cadillac tail lights.
