The durability test sounds interesting. I wonder how long they tested the gear for?
Drifting with Sam Hill should also be a good read, I need all the help I can get!

I know I'll probably buy it.
I can make a pretty safe bet that I'll wonder why I bothered.
Dirt Rag is still the pick of it for me, with Dirt running a close second.

Go for Dirt. Comes out on time, better read than AMB and you get a free Tee shirt. I like it alot!

Exactly what i did. It was the shittest issue they've had so far IMO. The best part was probably the Survey and the shimano vs sram part. The rest just too boring.
If they keep this up, i wont be re-subscribing and go with another mag.

It should be called the Austrailian bike addiction mag, and it sucks arse! I think it's funny they call Mick Ross and Chris Southwood "pros" ha ha.:p

Now now CSC are doing a mighty fine job of taking the title, but the name just doesn't have the same ring to it!
I personally didn't think this issue was that bad, but maybe my expectations are lower now. In the end, it's a consumer mag and they please their targeted market. It was a nice surprise to see the Vouilloz article/interview in there though. That man is the king... shame he's french :p
ps. Brad Prescott's apparently a pro... BWAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHA

The mag's all over the shop, usual misleading info. Check out the bike revue pages, on one page a bike gets an 8.5 then on the next page it changes then in the graph it changes again? It's pretty funny they couldn't even get there own revue to make sense. And someone commented that a bike handled well even with bad geometry, but wouldn't you think if the geometry was bad then it wouldn't handle well? Just look at the pictures and don't read it :p

Nice to see Lahar mentioned in the Rohloff article, pitty they didn't explain the bennefits better in either article.Just to confirm,Brooklyn do not run gearboxs.

I can't read and just at all the pretty pics anyway so I think it's a great mag.

In true AMB style they talked a lot but didn't really say anything.

The last two mags they’ve had issues with Scott bikes, one with durability of small bearing/pivots on the genius and then longevity of the unusually designed rear shock on the ransom, yet they still give high scores on build etc
Also in this mag, and the previous mag they've waste a whole page advertising either the story on shocks or Sram vs Shimano. This was very annoying with the shock story as they could of used the space to go into more detail.
And finally Jim Trail getting a bit stale isn't he! Who cares if his bum chum friend Terry takes him into the bush and gets him existed and 29ers who cares, seemed like a bit of an Alan Jones rant.

It's a long term test - you have to buy the next issue!
All they did was describe what they put on each Trance this time.
Don't think I'd get too exited about the results, can see right now they won't say one way or the other in any definitive terms.
Had a browse throught it at the newsagent the other day. Interesting to see Sam Hill running some lyriks on his sunday in a pic!

I think you'll find that alot of the riders in the downhill at Sea Otter opted for a short travelled duelly because of the type of coarse that it is, the photo pictured in the AMB of Sam at Sea Otter was the bike he actually used for the downhill not the slalom or 4x so you thought.

I was going to post mine to you but I don't have it any more:(, I usually give old ones to the kids next door (and I think their Dad reads them too:)).
Hopefully someone else here can let go of theirs, but if you have no luck contact the publisher (emap?) as they usually keep some back copies.
