bmx negativity? felt any? tell !

hey everyone, in just thinking of all the times someone has hastled me because i ride bmx. just wondering if anyone has any stories. I DONT INTEND FOR THIS TO TURN INTO A SKATE VS BMX THREAD !!. i was just interested to hear stories.

ive been almost pushed off by the elderly quite a number of times. twice in the same minute in different situations.

yelled at for riding on the footpath, i move to the road and get yelled at soon after, things thrown at me whilst riding.

worst by far are CARS ! cars generally they dont stop at crossings, give way, they cut you off and always speed up when they see you coming.

anyone else got anything.

oh yeah and some ass tried to punch me off my bike once. not sure why

Not exactly a BMX story, but if i get hassled for being on the footpath, usually it goes something along the lines of:

"You shouldn't be on the footpath son!"

"Neither should you.."

I don't cop much from cars though, prolly cos i'm a sick c*nt, having said this though i'll get pushed over tomorrow...

I hate it when your going down a busy street on the footpath because it's too dangerous to ride on the road and every second person gets angry and tells you to get off the footpath, where do they think we should go?...onto a busy road with no bike lane?

yeah, been yelled at by old crazy people. got blamed for world pollution once for riding "skateboards" though clearly my car was loaded with bikes. got to the stage where we started throwing eggs at people. then i guess thats our fault.

been kicked out of numerous street spots by security and general good samaritins (fukheads) and also been threatened by police to put a helmet on or be fined. I was doing work experiance at a bike shop in the city. And on friday afternoon we were riding around on the footpath out side the shop.

This geezer (about 55, fairly fit looking) comes along and the mech from the shop stops riding and gets out of his way, but he changes his course and gives him an elbow in the ribs.
And as he was walking off he was muttering a bit. The mech hops off his bike (turns out hes at least a foot taller than the geezer) and is all like "What CUNT??!?"
Then the guy turns around, sees how big flynn is and fucks off.
Flynn chases him for a bit-just for fun.


Personally I think he took it too far....with the chasing, but damn it was funny.

ey, i ride on the footpath, i get yelled at, i say sorry and continue on my way, ive been chased, threatend, shit thrown at me.. i will stop and defend my self..but in the end i know i am the one in the wrong and live with it.


but in answer to the original question yes i get hate, but not cause im on a bmx, (from the general public) i get more hate on a skateboard. :)

that happend to my friend, but the fucking moron hit him in the back. my friend was getting pushed along in front of the car whilst sideways almost going under the car. hes a lucky bugger, he escaped with 3 broken fingers and a cracked frame.

generally i just pull out the smart arse act and try to get the people yelling at me to get off the footpath a little more angry, its pretty funny though:D
