hey all.
after a few years in downhill i have moved to sydney to live with dad and want to try something new and the most obvious thing to try is 4x because of such a great facility at monster.
im about to buy a new bike for 4x and it has manitou stance flows on it and i was wondering how they would go racing?
any advice or comments feel free to add.
cheers

if it has stancesdon't get it unless you change them, the break, snap, leak oil, lock-out for no reason, the list goes on...............

in some aspects, yes.
but i raced the tas round of the nats last year on them and the held up the the job beautifully for all the criticism, and even after i sold it it still has had no problems.

If you're a smooth rider you'll have no dramas with your Flows at 4X. But if you're rather rough and choppy you may be expecting some troubles. I say, keep racing with the Flows until they are no longer rideable, learn what you can and try and smoothen up, as all the pro's who race 4X now days are racing on forks weaker than your flows.
From there, maybe look into a set of Pikes, Fox Vanillas, Rebas, Minutes, etc. You can snatch up a bargain in the buy n' sell forum.
