07 Specialized epic rides

Hey Peoples,
I'm wondering if any 07 epic riders with the Magura brakes and Specialized rear shock have had any problems or are happy with the set-up. I'm getting mixed views on these items and was wondering if I'd be better off with an epic expert (juicy 7's and fox Brain) with a few upgrades. Thanks.

A guy I ride with has an epic, I think his is the expert, the brain is awesome! Well worth the extra dosh.

I'm pretty sure that he is talking about the Epic Marathon (with AFR rear shock and magura brakes) which is actually more expensive than the Expert :p

I haven't had any long term or trail use on one, Just ridden it around the shop. But the AFR definitely feels great, and you really can get a true HT feel or a very plush ride + anything in between. The magura brakes feel great and I'd definitely rate 'em over the 7's. I reckon you'd be better off getting the marathon rather than upgrading the expert - it'll save you more in the long run. :cool:
