dh bike on roofracks

anyone know much about putting dh bikes on roofracks? I want to keep the bike complete because getting the front axle out is a pain in the butt, thinking of getting a setup like the GRIPSPORT dh towbar carrier and putting it on roofracks. just has to be strong enough to hold a dh bike
anyone have a good roofrack setup tips

There is a good range of of THULE DH bike racks that go on your roof racks. they are designed to hold DH bikes(obviously). Although they will cost a bit!
