Troy Lee Designs Full faces are the way to go if not 661.

I haven't had a large experience with FF helmets, but I find my Giro Remedy to be excellent in terms of fit, protection and ventilation. Have heard good things about TLD and 661 also. I think it's a bit broad to ask for the 'best' brand, as most people will have biased opinions. But, there are some brands out there that are better than others, and TLD, 661 and Giro would be among them. - Mike.

It mostly depends on your price range. Most on here will tell you that they swear by certain brands. That's all well and good so long as you can afford it. The degree of protection from a fullface will be relatively similar, however, it is mainly weight and design that you pay for.

Personally, I see no problems with my 661 Strike. It is cool, comfy and quite cheap. Not sure about it's protective limits but I don't want to find out either.

I havent tried any other full face, so this may not be too helpful, but i can recommend Giro Remedy, I cant fault mine.

Save the extra and get a D2.
Worth it.

im saving up for some Fox Launch pads atm and i sorta wanna look for mayby a second hand fullface (which will at least stop me from killing myself) to look at. Depends on how much the Fox Launch Pads go for.

dont bother 2nd hand, probably thrashed.

another vote for D2. i've had a 661 carbon and the TLD. it's lighter (even than the carbon), more comfy, better shape and look cooler.

wait for the D2 IMO

Giro remedy beat Fox, TLD, 661 and Specialized in a fullface test in the latest Mountain bike action mag. Quite convincingly too from memory.
