Hi,

I sent a letter in to the local Stonnington Council about three weeks ago about whether if I could build a DJ/4X track in my local park (Elizabeth St Malvern, 3144), and they've requested an Interview with a local representative. So i was wondering how big does a 4X track take up? I was almost thinking of doing almost a concrete 4x track, something different but I think I'm just going to stick with the dirt. Its a fairly big area that I've offered to build on. But I think the problem is going to be public liability.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Winna

just ask for heaps of dirt and you and other riders can shape it

Good luck

Hi mate

(r)evolution's new mag has a feature in it about how to get a 4x/jump park/DH track in your own town. It is quite detailed and I'm sure would really help you.

Lucks

Didn't end up being approved anyway, the farking council said that the public liability problem was too severe as the dog walkers are always in that area.

Keep hounding them, find out what other councils do to combat public liability.
Give your council examples of how it works. And remember that your parents pay rates in that council (I would take a guess). Get them to help you. The council works for you, get them to start working.
