Hi Guys And Girls

Just a shout out to anyone in the blue mountains that is near lawson/katoomba/wentworth falls. I am going to be building some jumps and a track at the lawson golf course so if anyone wants to roll up and help your welcome too.

It will be happening sometime this weekend and maybe into the next week.

Are you building on private land and do you have permission? Or is it like a secret spot hidden in the bush? Me and my mates would be happy to come dig some trails for you. We are also on holidays soon so we will have plenty of time.

have you been to the lawson bmx track?

Because there is a golf course next to it and its abandoned. There are a couple of tracks through the place and i am just planning to add onto them.

As for jumps i am going to have a day of looking around for a good spot hidden in the bush.

I do not have permission as yet.

Should I actually ask the council?

Yeah, you should definitely ask the council, otherwise they will just get pissed of at bike riders and tear them down.
Never build anything without permission is what I say, It's just stupid to build without permission.

do i have to like present a full on thing to the council or can i just ask them if i can build some jumps in the ABANDONED golf course.

I could get flammed but sometimes its better if you dont ask because I'd say that there 99% chance that your answer from the council will be a straight up "NO". Just make sure there not in the middle of the fairway even if it is abbandoned.

Gekz please talk to Steve Humpheries (http://forums.farkin.net/member.php?u=2835) before doing anything at all at the Golf Course. It is council land and currently under a review as part of the recreational plan, it is not abandoned.

FWIU WSMTB have made submissions for trails to be built there and the approval process is going through. the last thing they need is for the council to be pissed off by finding a heap of illegal/ unauthorized stuff being built at somewhere that has the potential to be legal.
