No worries mate. It's school holidays and us mods always get a little teste during these times!

Good luck with the possible move and finding somewhere to ride! :)

AFAIK, the jumps at Blacksnotts are still there. Check out the ashmore bunnings and look across the road. follow the trail in and it hits some DJ's, nothing flash, but better than nothing.

Better hurry as QLD Health have a hospital they are building on the site sometime next year.

when you hit the coast, look up a LBS, the one in Nerang and another at Southport. they should be able to point you in the right direction on the local trails.

Are those jumps still there pitto? I went there and they were ok, then I heard they got built up huge, then got fucked up again. What are they like now?

Have not been out there for at least 6 months. So i cant tell you. :(

Nerang and Daisy have become my regular ride these days.

Back in the day, Blackies was an awsome loop. i still remember getting lost the first time i rode it, on an overcast day and wondered where i was and ended up out near parklands. :o

Blackies is once again dead. Qld Heath got worker to put a car in between the gap of the first jump and the second. All of the lips are completely screwed. There are some very good DJ near bunnings. 4 - 5m gaps with some uber boostage off them.

where is the daisy jumps you speak of?

also the bunnings jumps are getting knocked down this week because people in the estate behind it have been bashing people for their bikes.

Sorry I forgot to mention this before but im moving from New Zealand, hence I know nothing of locations... when we were over recently I saw a few of what looked like the urban crew after coming out of water from a surf. I noticed there was a lack of skateparks (if ound one in colangatta after going surfing but maybe I wasnt looking in the right places).

I also noticed there was skaterds everywhere (not suprising due to the culture) but im wondering if a lone urban rider would get a little persecuted.

This move is still being planned so could i please have some help on the locations part of it...

hey
There is actually a really big ridding scene on the Gold Coast i wont say any of the locations but if you just get out there and meet the locals they will be more than happy to show you the spots. I was at a stage when i thought there was no new sports left but i found a new DH track yesterday and it is really good. Rock gardens, switch backs, road gaps chutes ect....

so yeh just get out there and hook up with some locals. We ride every Friday arvo at Nerange after school. If you want to meet up with us meet at the bike shop at 3:45

Surfers is great for a street ride, but no dj to speak of and drugs galora. There is pleanty of good skate parks around. Let me know when ya move i will show you the good parks and that. The best bike shop on the coast is in helesvale cycle scene talk to Mitch he has save my day so many times.

there are tons of dh and dirt jumps tracks around the goldie. you just have to ask nice... were sorting out a new shuttle run as we speak as were getting sick of guys riding the current one we built and not helping us maintain it as well as leaving it looking like a rubbish tip.. when u get here go talk to mark at nerang mtb and he'll sort ya out.. also we do shuttle runs most mondays, so drop me a line and see if can take ya out for a few runs

Im pretty much planning to be over there for 4-5 weeks in the Holidays while Buisness is getting sorted out for the move, so during that time I can probably come digging (theres only so much theme parking one can do!), currently riding a ironhorse mkIII but might buy a new bike over there, I ride it all, North Shore, DH, dj whatever. Ill PM some you boys closer to the move eh?
