I am from Canberra and will be heading up to Sydney with the luxury of being able to pack the SS in the car with the family (for once). I believe that the Manly Dam Trails are currently closed due the recent rain.

Could I expect the trails to be open by 14th July if the weather turns into it's normal self?

I think if we get a week of dry weather they could open up. Although I did hear a rumour of some significant damage to a section of track, so some parts may remain closed.

Next weeks forecast is fine according to BOM so fingers crossed it will be open for the weekend of the 7th.

Thanks guys.

I will keep an eye out to see whats on/open.

Too bad the relos to have their birthday a week later. That Dam BBQ sounds good. Might see you all at Sparrow for WWS round 2 weeks later?

That is good news. Hope the damage wasn't too bad.

We have had a fair bit of wet here too. Stopped raining in Canberra Thursday night and they opened up the sluice gates at Scrivener dam for the first time since 2002.

Stromlo held up well...

Cheers

Just did a few laps of Manly Dam for the first time this morning.

That is one great track. I know people say we are spoilt in Canberra with our trails, but the dam has a bit of everything. I really enjoyed it and will be sure to squeeze the SS in again next time.
