I'm in need of a new pair, padding is worn flat on my old ones and they are starting to look pretty average.

Any suggestions for a comfy pair of full finger gloves for XC.

Thanks

I am sure you will get many replies for the troy lee XC. They are a great full length, light glove without a bulky feel. They dont have much in the way of padding but I have never had a blister or sore hands from using them.

I like Fox Digit gloves. They've proven quite durable.

I have these and agree with the durability comments; however, I find that the velcro strap that goes over the wrist is far too short! Thus, the vlecro strap comes undone at times which is rather annoying.

You can’t go wrong with TLD XC gloves, they are a great all round glove! Although I’ve been using TLD Air gloves recently and there’re awesome too! They have basically no padding at all but I find them very comfortable and actually like them a little more than the XC gloves.

Nothing has impressed me quite like my TLD XC gloves. Buy 'em and love 'em, you won't regret it :)

I like my Troy Lee XC gloves to, but, why the hell can't they put a bit of towelling on the damn things to wipe my runny nose. My TLD downhill gloves have the snot wipe for god's sake [/rant]

I've had 2 pairs of TLD gloves and with in weeks all the plastic bits started to fall off them which is a bit annoying. Once everything that can come unstuck is unstuck they're good gloves but they have nothing on Dainese A-class (http://www.dainese.com/eng/articolo.asp?cat=6&nome=A-CLASS&articolo=3819230/3819231/3819232) gloves, they are the easily the best gloves I've used.

I don't think you can get them Australia anymore, but it's worth looking online for them. They're not cheap, about $70ish but worth it.

IMO Fox Digits were much more comfortable and seemed to look like they would provide more protection over the TLD XC's. Plus Digits are cheaper.

I've got a pair of Fox Inclines, and they have little padding in them. But once worn in, they are really comfy!! No blisters etc. But i'll also vouch for TLD gloves. Excellent value for money!

Know what you mean. My first pair of TLD gloves had the snot wipe and I loved it. So when I bought another pair and they had redesigned them without one I was quite disappointed.

'Nother vote for the TLD XC's. I like how the velcro tabs are further back on the wrist than my old Fox Dirtpaws. Makes them much more comfortable, and covers a bit more of my wrist. I use mine daily for commuting and have had no problems with wear.

another vote for inclines...the stretchy material is really comfortable, has a snot towel, and good blister protection...cost around 40 bucks...

Im using AXO Palomino, they are good comfy xc ones with little bits of rubber accross the index fingers for breaking lever grip.

I've used Troy Lee XC'x and the Airs, as well as someold Specialized BG gloves (still hanging together and still get a run now and then) and some Dakine Highwires. My current favourites are some Descente Hybrids - close fitting so no blisters, a little bit of padding where you need it, light enough AND snot-wipe. They're shorter than the Troy Lee XC in the wrist area, but I don't mind that and you do get that snot-wipe. You can order them off the Australian Descente website. I think they're up there with the Troy Lees in terms of cost.

I'm in need of a second set and was tempted to go with TLD XCs, but I think I'll probably end up with another set of 2007 Fox Dirtpaw. Apart from the PVC grip coming off the fingers after you've washed them a few times, they've great gloves - I really like them.

I've been riding the 'BG TEAM XC LONG GLOVE' for the last year. I have never worn more comfortable gloves in my life; they are strong, light, cool in hot weather and i have never had numb hands from them. Anyway...just me thoughts.

They can be found here:

I'd go to your lbs and just try some on, find some that are both comfortable and non-bulky.

It's the best way to go.
