Well done Mr Gordon! I was standing by myself on Saturday afternoon at the base of Mt Coramba (the DH track) all by myself and a lone figure appeared from around the corner..........It was Craig Gordon. I recognised him straight away and we had a yarn.
He is a very polite and great natured guy who loves his riding. He loved the riding in our area and couldn't wait to tackle the 100km event. I tried to get him to come up the hill and do some runs on his XC bike......he said next time.
It was great to meet the man I wish him all the best in the future!

Just want to say big props to all the organisers for a well run event. Although the staging area presented its challenges, I though that the event was REAL mountain-biking - lots of varied single track with some technical challenges that were manageable but rewarding to ride, some nice flow in places, gut-bustung climbs followed by the reward of screaming descents, enough fire-road for recovery and that essential mountain-biking ingredient - the pure unmitigated cruelty of cresting what you knew just had to be the highest part of the course - only to see another climb. We already know Coffs has one of the seetest DH runs on the right hand side of Australia, but with the terrain and tracks available, IMHO it could be one of the riding meccas of the whole country. And a major shout-out to Craig Secombe from my age group who spent more than 15 minutes fixing my busted chain - my race was over without your help mate. I tried to get you time credit, but I'll publicly record my thanks here.
