Event order: U19, U17 & U15 Women, U15 Men, U17 Men, Sport Women, Veteran & Masters Women, Super Masters, Men Veteran & Masters Men, Sport Men, Elite Women, U19 Men, Expert Men, Elite Men.
Event area is 80 meters fall over 100 meters. No constructed areas just a hill of rocks logs and soft ground see what you can do. A 50 meter wide strip down the hill (away from the DH track) with judges, you have 10 minutes to impress form cross country, trials, free ride or downhill.

The riders asked could we cancel the final downhill of the year and hold a free ride, sounds good but what is a free ride? Well sort of like an all terrain mountain bike event but with more freedom. So we have cleared undergrowth from a new (that means soft) section of Dargle approximately 300 meters long with 80 metres fall and about 40 meters wide. Within the area there are rocks large enough to jump off logs to get over (if you want) and a reasonably steep hill. You may choose to zig zag down the hill trying not to put your foot down, you may come down the hill on your rear wheel or front wheel it is up to you. If you impress our judges (Luke Strom, Timon Wagner, Andrew Mills, Chris Phrom, Neil Scruton and possibly a Rennie or two) located at intervals down the hill they give you the points. So they put a dirt day in December and we move the free ride to January. January clashes with a national so we move to February 22. If we have reasonable numbers we will run another in December 2004 as we hoped in the first place.
