Referring to Avid Juicy 7's (06)
Is it possible to swap the pad adjust knob so it is on the other side?
(I run front brake on the right, so the knob is on the underside)
And, when it is like this it serves no purpose and lately ive had to get off my bike, and get in an awkward position just to do some simple adjusting.
Is it possible to swap it around so the knob is on the top?
And don't say 'just run the brakes the other way' because i'm not going to.
Thanks for any help.

id be inclined to leave it there. it may be more difficult to get to, but its also far less likely to get snapped off in a crash. mine are on the undersides of my levers?

Yeah, them being protected appealed to me.
I'm only inquiring wether it can be done, and what is required to do it.
If it can be changed around (and if it isn't too hard using specialist tools) i will change it myself, otherwise ill leave it as is.

Yes you can do it without any special tools.
Pop off the clip from one end, then turn the knob until it screws out.
Be careful not to lose the clip when it flies off.
Once that is done, screw the knob in from the top and reassemble the clip on the lower side of the lever body.

Thanks for that.
I'll change them over, it looks better too imo.

Only if i knew this when i first got my bike, its now the most arduous job to adjust my pads. ( stupid sharp bits of metal:mad:)
