ok, the tiny tracks i had set up just off the M7 cycle way have been fenced off, flattened, or covered by a mudslide:eek: so instead of having a b!tch "those farkin council wankers have destroyed my little trail even though it was public land!!! who do the think they are, the government or something???" i think its time to approach the council and get things done properly.

firstly i'm looking for locals, please dont reply with "shiz yeh ill ryde dat evry day coz im a mad huckzorz lolwtfbbq" if you live in qld or whatever. Firstly i wont understand what you are saying, and if you live nowhere near the place you're never going to ride it.

secondly space available is at a premium, there are a few options though, a small half bowl shaped area near Dean Park (this is my prefered site), and various flat sections between dean park and marayong (probably too many trees though), if any locals know of more let me know.

the main trouble i can forsee is mini-bike riders (there are quite a few in the area) tearing the place up and annoying residents, a sure fire way to get the place canned. aswell as local scumbags dumping rubbish and cars. if anyone has dealt with these issues with any sucess, let me know.

this is purely a "gauge of interest" i dont have the time to waste on dead projects, so no replies/no action.

the idea:

all i'm looking for is a small mountainx/bmx track, or will settle for dj's with tabletops to stop the young kids killing themselves (i want to cater to the beginner/intermediate riders as well: more riders= more chance of this getting off the ground)plus i'm only intermediate at best myself:o
i would love some low north shore but i think the council will have a heart attack!

this will not be a world class track by any means, those of you who knew the old seven hills bmx track, think of that at about 75%, but it will be a track that people can go to after work/school or on the weekend, and just have fun.

if by grantham you mean the old bmx track at the end of mackenzie blvd i dont like your chances as that was torn down (to my understanding) because it was directly under the high tension power lines, they did move the start to the end of the first straight but demolished the whole thing not long after

the reason the council tore it down was due to vandals and hooligans ... pfft , its still the same so we miss out

Hey man, I went down to the Dean Park jumps yesterday and they are really overgrown with grass and weeds. I reckon that would be a really good spot to do them if we can clear some of that grass.

I live like 6 kms away so I could get down there to help out most afternoons and weekends. So pm if you have any info on doing them up

Hey guys, Ive been off the radar for a while, as my net access has been severely limited by the govt. Proxys last about a week before the get canned
I hope some of you guys have run with this, it's a little hard for me now, as I'm in Dubai for 4 years!

Hey, a mate of mine just moved from Melbourne to near blacktown. Where is some decent single track he can hone his offroad skills on? Not huge jumps etc just basic MTB stuff. Where are some trails for him to ride?

He is up near the M7 on Sunnyholt. Any trails around there? There is shitloads of land near Scofields, any trails there?
