Hi all, i got thinkin about my forks (2005 Drop-off Triples) and i was reading a few old "air conversion" posts and i now want to know if i can convert one side of my forks to air and leave the other with a spring.. Is this possible with my forks and can i get an adjuster on the top of the fork tube thing to adjust the air and stuff (like on a 888WC or something). If you know anything about this type of conversion could you help me. And if you are gonna TELL me to just get another pair of forks, dont. Surely an adjuster is cheaper than another pear of forks.
cheers :D

I'm not sure about the 2005 but from what I gathered from what you said is that they're different to the 2006s (which i have). What I mean is mine has air in both sides and a spring in the right also, so maybe look at getting parts from 2006 model drop off triples and see how you go.

They are air assist, meaning the whole leg fills with air.
If you use that as the actual spring in the fork you will probably pop your seals out.
I'd just leave the spring in because you will cause more problems in comparison to the weight you'll save.
