hey thanks for the praise. I'm loving the bike even though i'll be off it for a little while thanks to a buggered AC joint in my shoulder.

thanks goes to Fuzzy for the photo taken at Johnny Waddell's fundraising race. By the way, if anyone cares, i beat fuzzy by about 15 seconds at the race.

Yep the stinky frame with dangerboycnc 7" linkage plates is sitting in a box right now. Might get it powdercoated for use later or i might sell it.

NOt rich, i work at a bike shop so i can buy stuff at a reasonable price.

the saddle is very comfy. Not much time on it at the moment however. Because of my shoulder i'll have to wait before any decent reports come out.

thats simple. I don't bunnyhop. The seat post is up like that so i can pedal in the DH runs. Part of the reason i got this bike is so that ican learn to bunnyhop and manual properly. I wanted to learn all the cool tech skills without the bobbing of suspension getting in the way. I'm going to throw on the hookworms this weekend and tr y and ride the bike next week ( even though the shoulder aint' fixed)

Sup Dan?

i've said it at the race nad I shall say it again, your bike owns :D. Are you still going to get Dual Crown forks for it? Or are they for the stinky?

Wootcore, hopefully you can join the Urabn Full Face Crew during winter or whatever :P!

Can you make the ride on the 22nd, even though your shoulder is stuffed?

If you wanna learn to bunnyhop I'd get lighter tyres than hookworms. They weigh over a kilo each.

what sort of rear axle do you run. can you run 12mm or Qr

stinky|dan
02-03-2004, 11:19 AM
that is a qr axle in the back. I'm too cheap to upgrade the rear wheel just yet. There is no way i'm getting rid of the hoookworms. They rule. I don't know why people complain about how heavy they are. MAybe i'll get stronger by lifting and pushing tis heavy weight?

is the durala hanger replacable and also could you take some close up pics or the rear wheel, axle, durala cause i am very interested in buying one. also can it take a 12mm axle cause then i could transfer my wheel set now over perfectly and did you take the chain tensioner of also do you have a mtb or bmx bottom bracket and can you get vertical dropouts
sorry for all the questions but i need to know the facts before i buy the goods thanks

the .243 frames have the option of bmx or mtb BB's. And three top tube lengths. Only horizontal dropouts but it comes with chain tensioners if you are running single speed. The der hanger is not replaceable but because it is steel it can be bent back if you don't tear it right off in a prang. I'm pretty sure it'll take a 12 mm no worries. The frame is pimp. I've currently got it set up with hookworms and it rolls so nicely.

Dropouts are 6mm steel plate, trust me, the derailleur (correct spelling) will die long before the dropouts do. To fit 12mm axle, depends, you could get it slotted out to suit (which is what I intend on doing), and there's plenty of material to allow that, or you can get axles with 9mm flats machined into them to fit.
Either way, awesome bike, and having a chunky rear hub will suit it quite well.

thats a bit to confusing for me i think i will just go qr unless someone can tell me how i can fit it properly
