Bronwyns at the Gap creek reserve is meant to be good for beginners. Good, fun, trail, but it won't bite your head off. By no means a downhill race course.

Here is a map with the location: http://www.mtbdirt.com/trails/maps/gapcrk-trailsmap05.pdf

I agree! If you're a beginner or even intermediate and looking for a fun flowy fast trail - head for Bronwyn's:

This guy used to ride nothing but cross country :D

The old DH tracks at Blackstone, out Ipswich way, are also good for beginner to intermediate. The guys out there keep them maintained and there is some nice "shore" also going in. A couple of good fire-road gaps and drops abound!

Mate, go to Toowoomba, there are 6 tracks up here and they are sweet! Heaps of northshore (if you go to the rite track), huge dj's, technical sections, everything. pm for details if interested.

Blue Nurses is a slang name for the Dirt Jumps at Ashgrove. Ashgrove being one of Brisbane's inner west suburbs. If you want details, let me know?

There's a good freeride trail at Highland Park. Turn off alexander drive onto armstrong way, follow this road and turn right at marriot way and go to the top of this road the trail starts behind some houses.

but be careful this trail has big jumps, drops and a wall ride. and its heaps rocky.

and theres a pick up point at the end of worley drive.

also there some new jumps being built near the pick up point.

Pretty fun place, and it's one of the few areas in SEQ that's at least half legal to ride in.

What do you all think about the tracks at Daisy Hill forest? I'm only a beginner but there are some, what I think, fairly impressive tracks through out the area.

I guess the super-sketchy "north shore" type stuff in "Choc-Buddah" and "2nd cummin" could be regarded as a beginner freeride trail. Check it out.

As beginner downhill goes, you can't beat Clear Mountain for an easy flowy run to learn on. There are a couple of drops/jumps to the fireroad that will still challenge the expert rider too...
