i have started building a DH track with my mates...

we have a pretty good track layout, but dont have many ideas for the track, we have started some berms and stuff, but dont no how many jumps or drops it should have... the track is pretty rocky all the way, but not all sticking out... we have a rock garden at the top... but not many ideas from there.. gets to smooth for my liking...

just some ideas would be good...
the track all together will be pushing around 3 min.

thanx:D

North shore is good or you can try some studders and more rocks in the smooth parts.

throw in some stutters on the smooth straight stuff, a lew little jumps, couple of switch backs and drops and you will have a nice lil track

Just watch some of your favorite bike movies or ride some tracks you like. then try to recreaye the bits that you like post some pics of the track so we can see what we are working with.

This really works, that why I ended up building all the stuff in my backyard. Yeah, as others have stated you can put in some switchbacks and small jumps, but it really depends what kind of trail you want.

Whether you want it to be very technical and not all that fast, so big rock gardens, massive northshore and drops and tight switch backs, or whether you want a fast trail, with a lot of berms, and nice flowy corners and smaller rock gardens so you can blast through them, and drops that will create even more speed for you.

As I said it depends, but I hope everything goes really well for you guys.

P.S I wish I had room to make trails near me, that are not illegal. :P

Try and build some of the bits a little bit past your comfort level, or build it so that it will be easy to make harder and challenge your skills.

Shoot me a PM if you feel like you need a hand on Saturday.

When you are building build it as rough as you can this way the major lines will be made from riding. It will also be alot more difficult.
