Man, if you're 'freeriding' hard, then a saddle won't last you much more than one year. So buy yourself something sexy, enjoy it and then replace it for something more sexy!!
WTB and SDG saddles (animal print) are both excellent.
Check out T7 for this one - it's only $32 at the mo. I've been using one for the past 4 months and it's going strong! The red stitching is kinda nice! The saddle of choice of pro freerider Richey Schley.

Hey Guys,
I've recently just changed my saddle from an Italia to the Diety.
I think it's a great FR seat as it has some great padding on the beak so you can grip it with your inside thighs without it bruising you like the friggin Italia does!
I picked mine up from the shed at mordale.

My new bike came with the WTB Power V saddle, and i've found it's quite comfotable and easy to pinch but still remains out of the way when I want it to. Seems pretty good to me!
SDG I-FLY C (I-Beam), just upgraded, pretty solide set-up, havent had it to long so cant really comment on durability, nice and comfy and its pretty solid to
Jordan!

Norco Shore Saddle, came stock with my shore 3 and I love it, small and comfy as heck, really tough skin on it, washable, all round great seat. (I'm not sure if you can buy it after market though?)

Despite norco's being queer, (nevertheless I still ride one... the hardtails are good :P) they have damn farkin good saddles.

you could get a fizik freek saddle. ive read reviews. they do dirty easy but when you wash them theyre as white as when they were brand new. yes they are plastic but it wont tear and ive read that there not as bad as you think in comfort.

I hear you. Had one on my last bike and killed it by bending the rails. Replaced it with a norco 4x seat from my lbs, only cost $20 odd and worked a treat.

No they don't, the first norco saddle i had bent beyond repair when i crashed, its bent back into a slightly rideable state but its only a spare, and a weak one at that.
If you were to go for the SDG's I-beam, go for the ST version. Its more durable for Freeride/DH purposes
