thanks alot!
I justpicked up my 07 sunday and im relieved to see that the spec is almost the exact same!
they look nice though, less pink.
Is that white one the team? Its hard to tell what shocks there running but the white looks insane! A nice seat really brings out the bike, ironhorse have chosen the worst seats this year!

im not an inexperienced new member it was a mistake, i dont appreciate you flaunting your admin powers or coming to the conclusion that everyone here who fucks up must be because they dont respect this site. can you delete the thread so i dont look like an utter idiot just because i dont check the site every 5 min

does anyone know the axle to crown length of the totems compared to 888's? i know the 888's are 584mm's. it seems to lower the front a bit, but totems could be an interesting upgrade down the track

OK, was doing some searching, and couldn't really find a thread that I was looking for regarding Iron Horse Sundays - so I'll give this one a go.
I remember a friend of mine having an '05 Sunday when I was living in Sydney, and having nothing but a terrible time with it and the arse end on the bike. Every 3 or 4 outings and he had the bike in the shop and the rear end being worked on. Parts were also taking an extremely long time.
Do the Sundays still carry these problems ?
How are parts for the frames ?
Can you buy the frame only from the distributor ? A couple of bike shops I spoke to told me that you have to buy the complete bike in Australia ?

I gather your refering to the bushing problem.
This was solved when the hardware was changed to direct bolts rather then step down pins (i think it was 10-8mm pins). (dont hold me on exact sizeings
there but you get the idea!)
Its now just a straigt thru 10mm bolt, and as of yet I havnt heard of any of the hardware flogging out.
They also run the fox shocks now and use the differnent linkage style plates over the older ones.
Not so sure about frame availability though. You can buy the linkage plate sets from IH though, so you can upgrade the 05-06 to have the 07 striaght thru system..

Thanks for the information Roxy - I am really keen on the '08 frames, but just wanted to get some feedback.

hey R33f,
Roxy is pretty much bang on the money (and sometimes her head) the issues the 05/06 frames are thankfully a thing of the past.
I can confirm too that for 08 the framesets will be available again in Oz. They will be$3999. a little pricey but IMO the white framekit with green graphics is the hottest sunday of the entire range for 08, so pimp.
all bikes are now up on the IH website now for more info

I am just still dubious about I.H in Australia.
I have phoned 2 well respected shops in Brisvegas, and no one could help me with frame sales. Apparently I have to buy the whole bike.
I have tried contacting the importer off the I.H website, and the Melbourne number is no longer connected.
I have done the 'store locator' off the I.H website, and the search comes up as 'nothing' !
You would figure for a company with the current World Champ (from Aust), they would have their shizzle together as far as the Australian part of the Iron Horse web site wouldnt you ?

The frames are great (now). The 07 onwards linkage kit is a heap better. I feel sorry for any sucker that brought one of the 05 frames ( like me). Even iron horse admit they were faulty. However even after admitting that they sold faulty frames they make you pay for the 07 linkage kit if you wanted to fix their stuffup.. A very, very piss poor effort from iron horse. Thats a kick in the balls to anyone that brought the older models. Every time I tried dealing with the local importer I got no where.
However, after bagging the hell out of the brand I still would tell you to get one. But, if you have any problems with the bike deal direct with the guys at iron horse USA. In my experience they have been very, very helpful. Top points go to these guys for customer service. The frames themselves are amazing. Its just a pitty that it took them so long to get it spot on.. But now I would say that they have. Infact I have ordered a new one and my 05 model is now running spot on now it has the 07 linkage kit.

I noticed that there is no Kumicho range in 08....how devistating.
And does anyone else think the Ironhorse website sux?
I can put them in touch with a dozen web guys that could do a farkin better job than what they have now. the 08 links to their bikes aren't working, the pages take too long to load, and the navigation sucks.
But I still love their bikes.:D

The world cup is sold out, The team is $5769.00, Elite $6899.00 and the expert $4999.00.
I made some more enquiries yesterday afternoon, and the '08 model is definately coming out as a 'frame only' option - $3999 I was told. Little pricey when put next to the price of the expert, but am definately looking at the option now.
Frame alone comes in either black or white for colour options.

Hey 24 alpha,
I have ordered thru my local bike shop (AA Cycles) the 2008 yakuza kumicho - cant find any pictures or links on their website but the rep has taken my order . The ih dealers have a spec list regarding the 2008 yakuza - maybe they are just trying to get people to buy the sunday range before they advertise the yakuza
