WHat!? Davo has a dirty bike!?
Ok so have had the frame for a while now, just finished building it up a while ago and man this thing is a heap of fun! haven't got a proper weight yet but its by far the lightest bike i've built to date.
sticking with the ss set up! this thing climbs!!
will be going clipless and further down the track, a better set of wheels..
stay tuned, as i have a new project on the books
for those who are wondering, yes i still have the rufus :p

nice Davo. looks like your having fun on the trails with it.
BTW i'm just wondering, how are you finding the Maxxis Ignitor on the front? I'm currently running 2.35 Larsen TT's front and rear on my trail rig and find the front Larsen throws up sand into my face, which can obviously be annoying (don't fancy riding at speed with my eyes closed...). Apart from that they perform really well, but on a sandy trail (ie; all of sydney and most of OZ) it gets a bit annoying so I'm on the hunt for a better front and was wondering on the Ignitor's.
Cheers,

Cheers,
well i haven't had the chance to ride them on sandy trails.. ive only ridden them in wet, muddy conditions... in those conditions i was really really suprised with them. they gripped very well, even to wet rock. will update you on how they go on sandy trails within the next week.
as for kicking up crap, they did but as to how much i dunno cos it was a mix of rain/crap from front tire.
oh no dave the dark side, get out of there ;)
nice bike looks rad, but whats this? no fox forks :(

Hey DAvo,
Ive heard good stuff about those forks,
How do you like them compared to other forks youve used?
Edit: And the brakes, whyd you go with deores (thats what they look like) over juicy's and others?

You obviously don't know what you're on about, most 29'ers are ss, does that automaticly put them in the dj/street category?
No, it doesn't.

they work great! first QR set of forks ive owned in a long time, so nothing to really compare against. compared to a set of rebas i owned years ago these rock!! had to add a bit more air in than what rockshox recommended for my weight but their nice and smooth :)

I think you, me and Gripper should form a white santa cruz club. Bikes like that are what my last [R]evo article was about.
Very noice...
edit: Forgot to ask... Any hints on your next project? I still have my money on that white nomad (which by the way was my idea )
